Butterflies Take New York 310,000 people filled the streets of New York City that hot August day in 2014, demanding action on climate change. Not all of them looked quite human. There were birds, fish, mermaids, sunflowers, trees, and more than one Mother Earth and Mr. Death. Also bands, floats, and giant puppets.

The Place Where I Live I’m so grateful, especially now in this time of isolation, for our diverse, friendly neighborhood, and the green space it offers. Walking by a river under the trees is balm for our troubled spirits.
